Once again SEIA delivered the professional development stream over a period of 2 days at Solar 2015, an annual event held by the Australian Solar Council. The sessions averaged 250-300 installers, reaching a peak of 400 installers leaving standing room only. Congratulation to the Australian Solar Council for displaying such a brilliant showcase of exhibitions and conference streams.
SEIA presented information about New Battery technologies such as the Ultra and Lithium-iron batteries, an overview of the latest STC market update, technical details on Battery Storage Designs for Grid-Connect Systems and Remote monitoring and programming capabilities of Micro-Inverters.
Installers were curious about EV as energy storage for domestic PV and asked many questions at the end of the session “Network issues with PV installations”.
An intensive workshop on Stand-Alone Solar Design Options was delivered over a period of 1.5 hours. Battery Storage Logistics, East-West vs North facing solar arrays and the Clean Energy Regulator Audits and STC approvals were met with great interest.
Solutions for Export limitations introduced the Australian company GNT Engineering and welcomed once again another Australian well-known company, Selectronic. Smart Load Management, Changes to AS/NZ 5033 and 4777 as well as PID and Analysis and Solar Pumping rounded off the two days with providing some visual highlights during the “The Good, the Bad and The Ugly” presentation.
Thank you to all for your attendance and positive comments and feedback. Come and see us again in 2016.
